    What:        An exciting 5k that will take runners around Lake Olmstead, up (part of) Laurel Lane, and over Broad Street. The race will finish inside the stadium following the outfield warning track!

    A $25 entry fee gets you a spot in the race, GreenJackets gift, and admission into that evenings baseball game @ 7pm.

    The overall male and female winners will also have an opportunity to throw out the first pitch in that evenings games!

    The Quacks and Stacks 10K, 5K & Duck Dash is a family-friendly event to raise funds to support educational needs for orphaned and vulnerable children in Swaziland, Africa. The day will begin with the 10K and 5K followed by a 100-meter duck dash down the Augusta canal. A pancake breakfast will be served for all participants.

    To guarantee your t-shirt, please register by Thursday, Sept. 3. Registrations after Sept. 3, as well as walk-up registrations, will be accepted, however, t-shirts will be given as supply and size allows.

    13.1 starting and finishing at the Evans Fitness Center. The course will be gentle rolling hills on the bike path out and back to the Savannah River.

    Our organization is to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Last year, our main sponsor, Evans Fitness Club, raised money for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society by sponsoring a 10K in June. This year, we are teaming up with Evans Fitness Club for Ovarian Cancer to bring the first half marathon to Evans, Georgia. 

    All proceeds from the race will go to Ovarian cancer National Alliance. We look forward to this being an annual event. We hope to see you in September!

    Event details:    Participants will run/walk a 5k course starting at the pavilion in Riverview Park and Follow the Greenway. The course is flat with no hills. Participation is free for children under 12  years of age. Strollers are welcome. Wear you school logos and colors  A free health and wellness fair will start at 9:00 AM and end at 12:00 PM.  All events will take  place rain or shine.  Early registration and package pickup is recommended.  

    All proceeds will benefit The Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance Scholarship Fund.

    The Aiken Girl Scouts invite everyone to come out to the 3rd Annual Make New Friends 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1 mile Fun Run. It will be held Friday, September 25, 6pm at Citizens Park in Aiken. Entry fee is $25, or $10 for the kids 1-mile. All proceeds benefit Girl Scouts who have been selected to participate in travel opportunities around the world.

    Although the main focus is on the 5K race, all ages and abilities are welcome. Strollers are also welcome, but please keep your K9 buddies at home. (they tend to eat all the snacks)

    Project Lifting Spirits, Inc. works to provide gifts and morale boosting events to our local wounded troops and goody boxes to our deployed wounded troops on a regular basis throughout the year. Currently, we provide items to Fort Gordon Army Base, the Veteran's Administration Hospital's Active Duty Rehab Unit, and the Fisher House on Fort Gordon in the Augusta, Georgia area.

    The 5k/10k will start promptly at 8:00 a.m.

     


    Parking

    When you enter the Savannah Rapids Park make the first right into parking areas and follow it around the curve. Please park in this area.


    Course Information

    There will be signs that mark each mile for the 5k and 10k distances as well as a turn around sign. Due to the location of the starting line, the distances that are marked will not be accurate.


    T-Shirts

    T-shirts are being ordered and will be available for purchase with your registration and on the day of the event. 


    Refunds

    This event will not provide refunds.


    Age Groups/Awards:

    Age group divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The overall male and female finishers and the first place finishers in the each age group will receive an award.


    Same Day Registration and Starting Line

    Same day registration will be available from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. at the wooden bridge for $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt. Line for registration will end at 7:30 a.m. in order to ensure an on-time start. We will start at the bridge as well in order to accommodate all the runners and walkers that are anticipated to attend this event.


    Timing

    Electronic timing for the 5k and 10k will be provided by Strictly Running.


    Packet Pick-Up

    Packet pick up will be at Fleet Feet (229 Furys Ferry Rd #107, Augusta, GA 30907) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 2, 2015. We will also be accepting registrations at this time. $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt.


    Additional Information

    Walkers and Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend this event.

    A unique and fun 5K/10K that aims to bring together the community of Augusta in support of Children’s Hospital of Georgia. More than a race, the Downtown Dozen is an unforgettable experience.

    Band Together Run for Missions is a 1 mile fun run and 5K road race. Walkers are welcome.

    Strider Members $5 off 

    Brief Description:

    This is the 3rd annual Band Together Road Race at First Baptist Church of Augusta.

    The race will benefit Mission Ministries in Augusta, GA and surrounding areas. There will be live music during this event and along the race route.

    Post-Race:

    There will be a post-race meal (Brunch) and awards ceremony in the FBC Fellowship Hall. The meal will be free to all registrants with race bib. Meal is available for non-registrants, a small donation would be appreciated.

    Parking:

    Parking will be available onsite at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Parking lots around the church will be closed while the race is ongoing.

    Race Course:

    The race route will be 2 loops around the church parking lot and adjacent field.

    Course route is certified by the USATF. (*see maps)

    Race Packets:

    Race packets can be picked up at First Baptist Church of Augusta’s main office Thursday or Friday prior to the race.

    Packets can be picked up on race day in the Fellowship Hall during registration.

    Race Shirt Guarantee:

    A race t-shirt is guaranteed to all registrants who register by 10/12/15. Those who register after 10/12/15 are not guaranteed a t-shirt, they will receive a t-shirt on an availability basis only.

    Refreshments:

    Will be available pre-race and post-race. A water station will be on the race course.

    • A fully supported trail race on The Bartram Trail network located in Columbia County just outside of Augusta, GA along the shoreline of Lake Thurmond.


    Trail half and trail 10K

    This event will be a fully supported trail race on The Bartram Trail network located in Columbia County just outside of Augusta, GA along the shoreline of Lake Thurmond. The race will start in Wildwood Park located at 3780 Dogwood Lane, Appling, GA 30802. The park entrance is located on Washington Road 1.5 miles northwest of Pollard's Corner. Full driving directions and GPS coordinates will be provided on the event website. 

    The race distances will be a 10km race and a half marathon distance race along some internal single track park trails and The Bartram Trail. Both courses are technical single track mountain bike and running trails through densely wooded pine forest with moderate elevation changes and views of the adjacent Lake Thurmond. The trail is mostly hard pack clay and sand with some loose rock and pine roots exposed. The course drains well with rain but can be muddy in some spots after prolonged periods of rain. All stream crossings have well maintained foot bridges. The trails are well marked with tree blazes and mile markers every mile.

    Both races will start at the same time. There are in-ground latrine facilities maintained by the park on site but no potable drinking water. Overnight camping is allowed in the park and can be booked on their website. Seasonal temperatures for November will be highs in the low 70’s and overnight lows down to 40F. Expect race start temps to be 50-55 degrees
