    The first annual Desert Warrior 5K/10K is hosted by the Company Grade Officer Council (CGOC) of the CSRA. The CGOC of the CSRA is a non-profit organization made up of Air Force officers stationed at Ft Gordon. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go towards the local Air Force Ball in September. The Ball is a time-honored tradition, allowing Airmen to celebrate the Air Force birthday and increase unit morale.

     ***UPDATE: The 10K will begin at 0715 and the 5K at 0725. Packet pickup will still be held at Fleet Feet as stated below, in addition to the morning of the race starting at 0615 at the Overlook Pavilion.

     Free race shirts will be provided to the first 100 registrants and prizes will include Fleet Feet gift certificates, among others. 

    Goodie bags will be provided by Fleet Feet Augusta and a packet pick-up will be held on Friday, 25 July at Fleet Feet Augusta from 4pm-7pm in addition to the morning of the race.

    The Grass Roots Series is a family friendly event open to competitors of all ages and ability levels. Bring your family, friends or team. All competitors 18 or younger must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

    Location: At the Augusta Canal near the old mills, across from the Kroc Center. The entrance to the start area is at the end of Goodrich Street.

    Registration: Mail in Advance, online, or in person between 7:00-7:30am on Race Day. Make checks payable to Augusta State University Foundation.

    Cost: $12.00 per race OR $40 for all 4 races if paid in advance . Checks payable to Augusta State University Foundation.

    Awards: Top Male/Female overall, as well as overall age group awards to the top runner in their category. Results will be available at AugustaStriders.com. For those wanting a guaranteed t-shirt, please include your shirt size with your entry and an additional $10.00 plus your entry fee (if registering with the paper form) or you can purchase one via the online store. Pre-ordering a shirt will only work for EARLY entries only (i.e. BEFORE race day). We cannot guarantee your shirt size on Race Day unless you win your age group.

    • Augusta GreenJackets Baseball, Milledge Road, Augusta
    GRU run for the Greenjackets will take place on August 23rd starting in front of Greenjackets stadium at 78 Milledge Road in Augusta, GA. 
    The route will take runners around Lake Olmstead, up part of Laurel Lane and then proceed toward Broad Street back to Milledge Road where runners will finish inside the stadium following along the warning track. 

    Each paid entry receives entry into the race, a Greenjackets gift and admission into that evenings game at 7:00pm at Greenjackets' Stadium.

    Join us in the Race to Rebuild Lives as the Augusta Rescue Mission hosts it's 3rd Annual Run for Shelter 5K!  
    $5 off for Strider Members
    The Augusta Rescue Mission serves the homeless community in the CSRA with a mission that goes beyond just providing shelter and a soup kitchen.  The Augusta Rescue Mission rebuilds the lives of homeless men by instilling in them valuable life skills essential as they re-emerge into society.

    You too can rebuild lives by running or walking in the Run for Shelter 5K on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Augusta Common.

    Our organization is to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Last year, our main sponsor, Evans Fitness Club, raised money for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society by sponsoring a 10K in June. This year, we are teaming up with Evans Fitness Club for Ovarian Cancer to bring the first half marathon to Evans, Georgia. 

    All proceeds from the race will go to Ovarian cancer National Alliance. We look forward to this being an annual event. We hope to see you in September!

    What is Run or Dye?


    Run or Dye is the world's most colorful fun run!

    1. Don't Worry, Dye Happy! Run or Dye is for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're a triathlete or a recovering couch potato...7 or 70...a butcher, a baker, or a candlestick maker. Run or Dye is all about celebrating YOU just the way you are!


    2. You Are Your Own Canvas. Wear what you want. Light colors will show off all that awesome dye, or come in a crazy costume -- a thrift store tux, leopard print pajamas, or an old wedding dress. No matter what your wearing, our Dye Crew will turn you into a colorful sight to behold!


    3. Tell Your Friends! Remember: friends don't let friends dye alone! So tell everyone you know and bring a group to the most colorful fun run that's ever hit your city!

    Project Lifting Spirits, Inc. works to provide signed cards, gifts, and morale boosting events to our local wounded troops and goody boxes to our deployed wounded troops on a regular basis throughout the year. Currently, we provide items to Fort Gordon Army Base, the Veteran's Administration Hospital's Active Duty Rehab Unit, and the Fisher House on Fort Gordon in the Augusta, Georgia area.

    When you enter the Savannah Rapids Park make the first right into parking areas and follow it around the curve. Please park in this area.

    Course Information

    There will be signs that mark each mile for the 5k and 10k distances as well as a turn around sign. Due to the location of the starting line, the distances that are marked will not be accurate.


    T-shirts are being ordered and will be available for purchase with your registration and on the day of the event. 


    This event will not provide refunds.

    Age Groups/Awards:

    Age group divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The overall male and female finishers and the first place finishers in the each age group will receive an award.

    Same Day Registration and Starting Line

    Same day registration will be available from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. at the wooden bridge for $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt. Line for registration will end at 7:30 a.m. in order to ensure an on-time start. We will start at the bridge as well in order to accommodate all the runners and walkers that are anticipated to attend this event.


    Electronic timing for the 5k and 10k will be provided by Strictly Running.

    Packet Pick-Up

    Packet pick up will be at Fleet Feet (229 Furys Ferry Rd #107, Augusta, GA 30907) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 10, 2014. We will also be accepting registrations at this time. $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt.

    Walkers and Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend this event.

    This is the 2nd annual Band Together Run for Missions at First Baptist Church of Augusta.

    The race will benefit the following Mission Ministries in the surrounding areas, Augusta Care
    Pregnancy, The Center for Care and Counseling, Christian Learning Centers of Augusta, Druid 
    Park Health Center, First Baptist Church of Augusta Missions Activity Center, Head of the 
    Giant Ministries, The Lydia Project, and Mercy Ministries. There will be live music during this event and along the race route. The Band Together Run for Missions is a 1 mile fun run and

    5K road race, run entirely on FBC property. Walkers are welcome. There will be a post-race meal (Brunch) and Awards Ceremony in the FBC Fellowship Hall. The meal will be free to all registrants with race bib. Meal is available for non-registrants; a small donation would be appreciated.     Run the 36th annual Whiskey Road Race!
    Attracting runners from all over the CSRA, the Whiskey Road Race has been an Aiken tradition for over 35 years. The certified race course takes runners down Whiskey road through Aiken’s historic horse district then winds through scenic South Boundary Avenue.  This beautiful course will challenge runners and walkers alike. The road race offers two events, the most popular 10k race and the 2 mile race for participants who wish a shorter, easier route.
    The Whiskey Road Race is our #1 fundraiser; all contributions make it possible for us to continue to provide vital services in our community to domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Without the generous support of people like you, those in need in our community would not have as great of a chance to rebuild their lives after times of crisis.

    By running the 2nd Annual Harlem Hustle Turkey Trot you are in for a treat. The race course runs through the Historic Sawdust Community and The City of Harlem, Ga. Beautiful yet challenging routes for both races. Post race activities include a live band and 2nd Annual Chili Championship.

    Packet Pick ups to be scheduled in October. We have maps of both courses and will post those soon. Official start time will be posted in October. Parking is available throught downtown Harlem. Be sure to plan to get to the race early on race day and stay aftewards for the award ceremony, Chili Championship, and Live Band.
