Group Runs
Not Yet Plugged into a group?  Coordinate with a POC before just showing up.  These things tend to be flexible.

The Augusta Strider members frequently get together for group runs.  Many members have found others of their own pace and make their own arrangements to meet throughout the week at various places and times.  We suggest coming to a group run or club meeting to get "in the loop" about who gets together.  Alternatively, you can contact one of the Augusta Strider Officers who can suggest some members with which to get in touch.  Please do coordinate prior to just showing up for a group run as these things have a way of evolving.

Sunday Runs
Long runs of about 15-20  miles.  Group meets at 7:30am at the corner of 13th Street and Broad Street.  (at the Morgan Stanley building)
A good POC on these runs is
Gary Moore, Dave Allison, Ken Dixon or Jason & Rebecca Pattillo

Monday "Nacho Mama" runs
A group is meeting late afternoons for a casual run starting and finishing at "Nacho Mama's".
POC is Randy DuTeau at Randy@augustasportscouncil.org
The word is that Nacho Mama's is giving post-run discounts on food and drinks.

Tuesday Track Night
Lakeside High School at 5:00pm.  Depending on who and how many folks show up, we'll split up into groups based upon who wants to do what.  Track work is tough enough.  Why suffer alone?  Link up with us and get in a better workout.  Besides, misery loves company!!  :~)
POC's for these runs would be same as above plus
Tom Crute or Norris Beale

Thursday "Tempo" Runs
Meet up at the North Augusta at 5:00pm for a 3-5 mile "tempo" run on the
Total mileage is about 7 counting a warmup and cooldown.

Form Your Own Group
None of these listed group runs work for you?  Take a look at the current members roster and see if any of the folks listed there might be a potential runnin' buddy.  The idea is to simply support runners by promoting the formation of new training groups / partnerships.

Triathlete training

There are a number of Augusta Strider members who are training for swim-bike-run triathlons.
See the sTRIders Corner section of this website.
